President's Letter for January - February 2011
Dear All,
With the vote on December 7th, 2010 the members made a decision to sell 80% of our property including the club house to the Board of Education of the Columbus School District. We hold on to the corner-house and adjacent properties. The Stewart School wants to expand and needs parking. A perfect fit for our goal to have an affordable club house and hall on our present property with enough parking in the evening. The school allows us the use of their parking lot after school hours or activities. We can stay in our present club house until August 2011.
This gives us time to renovate the corner-house and make this historic “Dutch House” an eye catcher on High Street. In a second phase we want to add an hall of approximately 2500 square-feet. A rendering on our website (www.maennerchor.com) shows how the final structure could look like.
We need your input knowledge and craftsmanship to do all this.
